What I did today????

Bought new cloths today to make patchwork skirt..
hope it comes out well..

still doing the bag though..

facing a little difficulties with the yoyo flower as i need buttons.

n so n so..

tomoro gonna hang out in jusco...I wish i had a little like 2 bodies which i can spare to do different chores at the same time...

looking back..i would f given anything in exchange for hanging out in jusco..

but today i'm hesitating to complete the sewing works...As life progresses, we become more matured.

How True?

Working on the Bag

Only managed to choose fabric for the bag's layout today. Not impressive but what to do? Went to Bahau today..so had to sacrifice a little..hehehe...anyway still got to bring the various fabric samples to shop for appropriate thread tomoro... without them, applique is impossible...

Started with red, a little while ago... N also did the grasses n plants. However, rose doesn't look good in green satin ribbon..so i'm changing it yoyo..Facing a little difficulty coz i forgot how to make the yoyo flowers..Used to be pro, a little like 7 years back.. Anyway that's how long it has been since i was into sewing..Got to work on my skills..

Making a 3d rose

Earlier today, I successfully made a rose..

I tried doing roses out of satin ribbon before but never was successful..

This time however in order to learn, I used a red 4cm x 45 cm cloth which i stitched along the length before twisting it inside out so that the stitches are hidden.

I pressed the cloth first with an iron n started rolling the cloth to make the rose stem n went around the roll to make a rose..

Practice makes Perfect..

You see, even learning from video is difficult for me..mainly because i kept on following the steps shown on the video by pressing pause n play button.

N so after some time, my rose was nowhere to be seen n my hand was painful.

First Time Was Totally Difficult.

My sister was quoted, " Rose??? That is a Rose?, Maybe u shud try again..''

Well, I have done it at last n now I am trying with satin ribbon.

Constructing Jeans Bag Called A Day By The Garden

Already started sketching pattern for the new bag..

Gotta make it exclusive..no idea how..

Anyway it's gonna be an applique..

Hopefully it turns out smoothly..

Machine is out of service for some time now..so it's kinda nuisance to ensure the stitches are smooth on both sides..

Thought of applying a little of what i applied for the hat..hehehe..gonna copy the rose..but i'm gonna use the green satin ribbon u see becoz i'm left with no other choice..

Gonna use dark blue jeans for the bag fabric..

Will post it as soon as it's done =)

Finished The Hat at last...

Had a little problem with the rose but everything turned out right..

This hat of mine is actually the Hawaiian Hat..

Deformed a bit..but other than that..it's perfectly in a good usable condition

Holidays Season is back..And after spending a month on unwanted chores and celebrating my birthday..Now i'm all ready to take a different hobby. Actually it's one of my old hobby, which I've left for some time now.. It really feels great to catch up on it.. i'M SURE u guys n gurls are all guessing my that fantastic hobby ah? iT'S actually sewing.. I'm all into it now... But i'm starting to wonder will i be able to complete the pile on my chair before i return to college??? You see, last year I started on sewing baju kurung's top n its all still there unattached to each other n now i'm telling myself maybe i shud open the stitches n separate the lining from the top fabric..I hate TO DO IT!!! It just spoils the fabric..But to learn, you have to learn from mistakes.

And there is still the hat i tried making two years ago..still in it's undone look..You see i made a mistake when i was cutting the sponge that goes inside the fabric by cutting it too much n now i'm left with a super short fabric to be made into a hat..anyway I oath to finish it this year n give it away to someone who needs it..Good of me O? Well i try once in a while to be good.

And there is my sister's punjabi from last month which needs to be altered at several places n now I can hear my sister asking my favour to make her a new set of beddings..GOD u GOTTA HELP ME!!!!

In between all this..I still got to sew the bag my friend asked for..

And for myself I wanted to make a new skirt..ALL IS GOOD IN MY MIND..

But when it comes to real life..Is it possible to complete in mere 10 days??? A novice like me??? i Guess i just gotta work extra hard.

And yeah i forgot to mention the blouse i'm supposed to make for my grandmother. That is in the top priority list. Go Kala..U can do it!!!
